Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of Worth County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through a search tool signals agreement with every condition below. Do not continue to use the site if you disagree with these terms.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with Worth County, the State of Missouri, or any federal agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The site is a reference for official criminal-record resources. It is not a consumer reporting agency or private investigation firm.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no governmental authority. We neither store official criminal records nor retrieve them, conduct official checks, or file forms for a visitor.

The information identifies the Worth County Sheriff, the Fourth Judicial Circuit, the Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Central Repository, the Missouri Sex Offender Registry, and other record custodians. Public-record access at Missouri government bodies is governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law. State criminal-history dissemination is separately addressed by §43.540 RSMo. Those laws do not turn this site into an official custodian.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of this site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Use a bot, scraper, or other automated process against the pages
  • Gain, or attempt to gain, unauthorized system access
  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
  • Use information to harass, threaten, or stalk another person
  • Rely on site content for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Violate any applicable federal, Missouri, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked tool to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct may also violate criminal law. The Missouri Sex Offender Registry is provided for public safety awareness. It does not authorize vigilantism, threats, harassment, employment blacklisting, or housing discrimination, and using registry data to facilitate a crime is unlawful.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not prepare consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. Our advertising partners are not presented here as services for reviewing job applicants, rental applications, insurance risk, or creditworthiness. Information from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Set insurance premiums or assess creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Determine eligibility for a permit, license, or government benefit
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

Anyone who needs a check for a regulated purpose must use an authorized official process or a screening company that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Missouri charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement provision applies to a specific person. Obtain advice from a licensed Missouri attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • A partner search result will be accurate or complete
  • Every page will be free from bugs, errors, or security flaws
  • The site will remain continuously available
  • Information will always be complete, accurate, and current

Criminal records can change when charges are filed or dismissed and when courts close or expunge files. Updates and omissions are unavoidable. No statement here should be treated as an official representation by the Worth County Sheriff, a Missouri court, or another government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to the sheriff, Missouri courts, state agencies, legal organizations, or outside search providers. Following a link takes the visitor to a service we do not operate. We are not responsible for its content, availability, prices, or data practices. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Worth County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Content may not be copied, altered, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from site use, including reliance on information obtained here or through a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, or legal proceedings caused by your site use or breach of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the site must be brought in a court located in the State of Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when the updated text is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend, restrict, or end access to the site at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be modified only to the extent needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
